Way Too Long

It has been way too long since my last blog post! I am so sorry!

One reason why is because I have been sharing my computer with Kylie while her's on on the fritz. Another reason it has been so long is because I've been doing some cleaning around the house! I am one person who actually enjoys cleaning. Once I start, I just want to clean everything.

To begin, I started cleaning up my room, then that lead to cleaning different parts of the basement. I found a lot of stuff that I forgot I even had. It was quite nice to see those items again. They brought a lot of good memories, but also some sad.

My next conquest is the horse barn and the chicken coop. It has to wait a few weeks though. Want to know why? We have a whole bunch of duck eggs! There are over 10 nests in the chicken coop alone with close to 80 eggs. (Kylie was nice enough to count when we fed the ducks and the mothers got of the eggs.) Then our one duck actually had a nest in the horse barn, silly little thing did the same thing last year too. Only her eggs hatched early this week, so now we have a few little yellow ducklings walking in our yard already! In the next week or so, there should be quite a few more.

Ducklings won't be the only baby birds in the yard. The guineas have been pretty busy themselves. The bad part is that they like to have their nests in the row of trees right next to our dog fence. Bud dad fixed that problem by putting up an extra fence to keep the dogs away. Deep down he cares about the cute little birds.

Oh, and those kittens that I talked about in the last posts, all nine are still alive! They are such freindly little buggers. We barely walk out of the house and they are right there by our feet and want to get loved.

It is getting late here, so I have to head out. I promise to post some pictures as soon as Kylie's computer is working again and she can upload pictures!

An Update!

I just realized that I have not posted for awhile! Not much has really been going on. Just been doing some cleaning around the whole house. Then going outside to start doing ground work on Cider. Next year she will be three, so that means she can start being ridden! Not only am I excited, but so is Bailey.

^^ That is a picture of my cat Corona that I was talking about in my last entry. The bad news is that those two little kittens of hers didn't make it. The good news is, that last Sunday, my cat Esme had a litter of seven kittens! She even had the kittens in the dog igloo that is just up by the front steps. Now here is the kicker, Corona is help raising Esme's kittens!

I'm guessing since it's been kind of slow here, that later on during the summer, all the exciting stuff will happen =D

'Birth' Day

For the last few days, it has been pretty boring around here, even though the weather keeps going from rainy to sunny.

Well, today was pretty eventful. When Dad came home from work, he asked me where the kittens went from in front of the house. I didn't know anything about these kittens. That was until my cat Corona came into the house. (She's an outdoor cat, but eversince she was a kitten, she has been coming in the house. She thinks that she is one of the dogs. She eats dog food and takes naps with the dogs. She is also the cat at the top of the page in the picture that Mercy is following.) I saw that she wasn't fat anymore. So I then went around the farm and checked to see where she had moved them to, since it was rainy outside almost all day. She had moved the kittens into the chicken coop. Funny thing was, there were a couple of ducks in front of where the kittens were, just like they were guarding them.

That was okay until I looked closer. The first three kittens that I found were dead. The next kitten I found was a gray calico that was barely breathing. Then the last kitten was a gray and white boy, just squirming around. I grabbed the last two kittens and brought them into the house so they could be with their mom.

They were just so cold from being outside for so long. I didn't know when the last time Corona was with them. Luckily, when I put the two kittens with Corona, she licked them and they started crying. I then let them go so they could be alone. Once I came back into the living room, Tessa's dog, Iko, was also laying in the bucket with Corona and her babies. I felt the kittens, and they were much warmer than before. I just hadn't seen them drink yet. I just hope that they do, because Corona is such a good mother and she deserves to have these last two kittens live.

But those kittens weren't the only babies. Mom and I were sitting, just watching television, and I heard a little cry. When I looked, Ebony, our one chihuahua, had a puppy. We didn't even know that she was pregnant! Right now, she is just in love with her little girl.

I took a few pictures of Corona and her babies, but I will have to post them later, once Kylie uploads them to the computer. Like I said before, I am hoping that they live!

My First Post!

So here I am! My very first blog post.
I thought, hey, I could do this. Let people know how I'm doing from time to time. Even get some of my feelings out.

This post it going to be quite short. Today, it is just Kylie and I babysitting our neice Bailey. Mom and Dad are helping a family friend build a porch.

A little bit ago, Bailey and I went and did some chores outside. We set up a kiddy pool for our ducks to go swimming in. We barely had water in it, and there were two ducks already in it!

After that, I went and did the fun job of catching my horse Cider and putting her halter on. Now later I have to brush her and our other horse Mercy, since they are shedding their winter coats. That's at least the fun part. After that, I have to worm both of them, and well Mercy doesn't cooperate well.

Anyway, Bailey and I then did some cleaning in front of the house. We moved in a big dog igloo house thing that we got from our Aunt Joyce, and set it in the corner by the front door. We're hoping that my pregnant cats will have their kittens in there instead of in the trees. Bad part is, I don't have that many cats anymore. Luckily, Kylie's friend Mandy is going to let me have some of her cats!

Well, I better get going. I have just a little bit more cleaning to do in the house before the parents come home
